Definition

  • Shi Rong (lose gloss), shi ju (stone gangrene), Kong Nao Sha (control brain sand): similar to tumours in the neck, including lymphosarcoma, Hodgkin’s disease, parotid carcinoma and nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
  • Jian Chun (cocoon lip): lip carcinoma
  • She Jun (tongue bacteria): tongue cancer
  • Ye Ge (dysphagia) and Fan Wei (regurgitation): cancer of the oesophagus and the stomach
  • Fu Liang, Ji Ju (masses and gatherings) and Zheng Jia: cancers of the abdomen, stomach, pancreas
  • Huang Dan (jaundice), Gu Zhang (tympanites), Pi Qi (distending qi): similar to liver cancer (hepatocarcinoma)
  • Du Ru (envy breast), Ru Shi Yong (breast stony carbuncle), Ru Yan (breast rock): equivalent to breast cancer
  • Dai Xia (leukorrhoea), Beng (landslide; metrorrhagia) Lou (leakage; metrostaxis), Jiao Chang (colic intestine) similar to some cases of cervix carcinoma, choriocarcinoma, and abdominal metastases of gynaecological carcinoma
  • Fan Hua Chuang (overturn flower ulcer), Fan Hua (overturn flower): similar to skin cancer
  • Fei Yong (lung carbuncle): some cases of lung cancer
  • Chang Pi (intestine stasis), Chang Feng (intestine wind), Suo Gang Shi (lock anus piles): colon cancers
